Customised open-source presentation deployment • Working in the church environment
The need
Gospel of Christ Solution Center Ministry needed a dependable, affordable way to prepare and project Scripture, song lyrics, welcome screens, teaching slides and media during services without continuing to depend on paid subscription software.
The solution
I customised and configured the open-source FreeShow presentation platform as an internal church workflow called GOC Show. The work focused on church branding, clear volunteer operation, local service content and reliable output to the service projector.
- Church-specific look: adapted the visual presentation to suit the GOC identity and service style.
- Projector workflow: configured the computer-to-projector output used during services.
- Service content: prepared workflows for Bible passages, song lyrics, announcements, slideshows and media.
- Local Bible resources: configured Bible material available for the church's internal use.
- Lower operating cost: replaced the need for a paid presentation-software subscription in the church workflow.

Try the Bible
Web-based Bible memorisation and teaching project
The purpose
Try the Bible helps people move from reading a verse once to remembering and using it. The project combines music, repetition and visual recall so Bible memorisation feels more accessible to different learning styles.
The learning approach
- Singing: use melody and repeated lyrics to support long-term recall.
- Flashcards: practise verses in smaller, manageable sections.
- Guided teaching: connect memorisation exercises to Bible-study topics.
- Online access: make learning material available through a website.
- Community support: extend teaching and reminders through WhatsApp participation.
The wider roadmap includes structured review schedules, typing and fill-the-gap practice, audio exercises, progress tracking and topic-based verse collections.
